Who are the Victims?

What type of people are often targeted? Well, let me tell you, that most people that are targeted are women and children and on rare occasions some are men. In Canada, most of the victims are aboriginal women or the aboriginal in general and immigrants.  To be exact, about 90 percent of the people trafficked in Canada are aboriginal women, why might you ask? Well, this is because the aboriginals have grown up in such a different environment such as others and they do not have the luxury that we do. Yes, they have schools but the schools they have are residential schools which forces them to go to school in bad and horrible conditions. Also even with the residential school they do not get much of an education, which further hinders their ability in life, such as getting a better job that pays a decent amount of money. The fact that the aboriginals, especially the women are so uneducated makes them vulnerable and an easy target to either be lured into prostitution by a trafficker or kidnapped and abused into doing so, such believing they have no other choice because they may not know anything beyond prostitution.
