What is Human Trafficking?

Human trafficking is becoming a huge issue, not only in Canada, but all around the world. People need to be aware of what human trafficking is and how unacceptable it is. To start this off I'm going to tell you what human trafficking is, human trafficking is the trade of humans very much like slavery and can be classified a modern day slavery. Human trafficking can be clearly defined as a illegal trade of humans, for the purpose of sexual exploitation, removal of organs (to sell for money), or force labour. The trafficking of humans is a colossal crime and violation upon human rights.

This issue is one of the most profitable illegal trades there is. Every year the human trafficking rink earns about couple billions, which is enormous amount of money for doing such a despicable act amongst our very own kind. Mostly women and children are the ones who are trafficked, it can happen just within the country, to different states or provinces to across the border and overseas. Often the women and children who are kidnapped would be sold to the highest bidder and forced into prostitution, unless they somehow manage to escape.
